We are looking for an admin assistant with strong diary management skills to support the community dietitians in Warwickshire.
You will join a busy and friendly team of dietitians, and dietetic assistant practitioners working across the county. Your job will involve admin work, requiring a high level of attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills. You will spend time contacting patients, completing risk assessments, and booking them an appointment to see the dietitian. You will manage multiple diaries, ensuring appointments are booked within agreed time frames.
In addition to your admin tasks, you will assist the dietitians by ordering samples of nutritional products, and entering nutritional information into a computer system.
You will be asked to contact patients and care homes to check their weight and progress, and report back to the dietitian.
We support flexible, and agile working, and are fully committed to the wellbeing of our team, having two wellbeing ambassadors in the department, and a variety of wellbeing initiatives.
To manage the booking of domiciliary visits on behalf of the community dietitians, including completing risk assessments and documenting in patients' dietetic records.
To utilise online systems for ordering nutritional supplement samples, and analyse patients' dietary intake using nutrition software to support the dietitians.

AdministrationTo monitor caseload waiting times and book appointments, ensuring patients are being seen within agreed time frames
Liaising with dietitians regarding diary management, and booking patients into pre-approved time slots.
Booking necessary equipment, e.g. Scales for the dietitian to use during the appointment.
To contact patients and complete risk assessments and saving them to the patient's dietetic record
To take responsibility for dealing with cancellations, rescheduling etc.
To take the minutes for community team meetings
Clinical
To assist dietitians to ensure patients nutritional needs are met, performing reviews of patients according to agreed standards.
To complete telephone triage to ensure referrals into the team meet our referral criteria.
To order samples of nutritional supplements from manufacturer's websites as per dietitian instructions.
To telephone patients to discuss nutritional supplement samples, and if required, generate a prescription request to the GP
