Summary We're looking for a Lead Ranger to join our team here at Osterley Park.


This pivotal role forms a key part of our property leadership team, and essential in helping us to ensure that this urban greenspace delivers more for nature and for people.


This is a hugely rewarding role for someone who is passionate about working on the frontline for the benefit of nature, history and for people.

Salary:
£34,340. The advertised salary is inclusive of the Outer London Weighting Allowance, currently £2,828 per annum.


What it's like to work here Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll be part of the Property Leadership Team, managing two urban rangers as well as champion Osterley as an accessible nature space for everyone.

About half your time will office-based working on planning, compliance and budget management.

The other half will be out on the estate managing the land for the benefit of nature, the environment and our many visitors.

Weekend work is expected on a rota basis.

What you'll be doing You'll put conservation at the heart of everything you do, always considering how to reduce our human footprint on the environment.


We're looking for someone who is confident in planning and delivering a programme of work to deliver our nature conservation ambitions, support and develop recreation and access across the property.

  • An excellent communicator with experience in stakeholder management

  • Experienced in relevant land, conservation and access management

  • Organised and selfmotivated, confidently able to manage a demanding workload with competing demands on your time
  • Confident managing budgets, finances and contracts
  • Knowledgeable in health and safety requirements and other compliance issues relating to the countryside and visitor activities.
