This is an exciting opportunity for Clinical Support Workers to join the Dragonfly Unit in supporting young people through their mental health journey.

We are looking for Band 3 Clinical Support Worker's that are passionate about recovery led care with a focus on promoting least restrictive practice.


The 12-bedded Dragonfly Unit is based in Carlton Colville, Lowestoft and is for age 13-17 year old young people requiring admission whilst receiving inpatient mental health treatment.

As a Clinical Support Worker, you will be a vital member of the team who will be enthusiastic, resilient, sensitive, and passionate about providing the best care to our service users.


As a Support Worker you will be an essential member of the team bringing us your personal skills and experience of caring for people to provide activity, personal support, complete observations and engage with people.

For this role, your duties will include:

  • Having a good understanding of mental health diagnoses and presentation including appropriate boundaries
  • Undertaking therapeutic observations of all service users
  • Supporting service users on a 1:1 basis who may require varying levels of support
  • Undertaking physical management of violence and aggression training to manage challenging situations
  • Take service users on leave from the unit
  • Work closely and in collaboration with families and carers
