The Group, which also produces asparagus, uses modern and innovative growing techniques and has a thriving year-round soft fruit import business.

Our principal customers include multiple major food retailers.

Fruit in supermarkets today must be high quality to provide nutritional benefits and remain attractive to consumers. Fresh fruits must be shipped quickly and stored correctly to retain their quality.

Thus, regular fruit quality testing is necessary at several supply chain stages to ensure that fruits maintain their quality and freshness.


Our produce is picked, graded, packaged, and delivered to our customers within 24 hours to ensure that our fruits are fresh, tasty, and as natural as possible.


At our main packaging facility in Marden, we store, pack, and distribute around C30 million units of UK and imported production each year; we operate up to 8 packaging lines, which are installed with checkweighters, heat sealers and thermal printers.

We are excited to offer the following opportunity within our Packhouse team in Marden, Herefordshire:

MIQA (Quality Assurance Goods In)


Reporting to the QA Manager, the role's main purpose is the inspection of the delivered product to the site from our UK farms and suppliers worldwide, ensuring the product is within customer specifications.


The primary duties and responsibilities are:

  • Completing all related documents to support the company quality policies.
  • Daily use of the ERP system.
  • Supplier verification.
  • Quality reports creation.
  • Assuring the product quality online.

You will also be expected to:

  • Guide and support the operations/production team against customer quality standards.
  • Positively communicate with internal and external teams regarding product quality.
  • Positively work with colleagues to achieve the production plan within the quality parameters.
  • Be involved in internal audits and document control.
  • Report product shelflife.
You should have previous experience as a QA / MIQA and some qualifications related to the food industry and also:

  • Good level of English
  • Understanding of FMCG's
  • Experience in a factory environment
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Ability to communicate professionally and competently.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working 8 hours daily, agreed in advance on a rota basis. However, a level of flexibility would be required during our peak season.
