Benefits:

Hours: 40 hours a week – Monday to Friday
On call / Standby: 1 week in every 6
We are representing this Electrician position on behalf of our client 'City Facilities Management'.

City were founded in 1985 and the organization has expanded to become one of the largest privately held, integrated FM companies globally.


Job Purpose:
This is a crucial role, executing planned and reactive Electrical maintenance throughout the region.
The main goal of this position is to perform technical repairs and minor PPM's. You will guarantee that all technical and compliance documentation is consistently completed and kept up to date.

All tasks will be finished to the best standards in an effective and cost-efficient manner, while complying with the established company Health and Safety regulations.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) plan within agreed timelines and make sure all essential paperwork is finalized
  • Perform emergency lighting assessments and repairs
  • Detect non-repairable faults in equipment and machinery and immediately inform the line manager of discoveries
  • Ensure that compliance paperwork is always completed and current
  • Notify the on-site customer (manager) of any repair and maintenance problems that may impact the smooth operation of the site
  • Carry out surveys and produce reports as needed
  • Always adhere to company Health and Safety regulations
  • You will be part of a 24/7 call out rotation (1 week in every 4)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
  • 17th edition/ 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • 3 Phase Electrics and its applications
  • Achievement of PPM plan within agreed timelines
  • Ability to repair and maintain a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Respond to service call requests within agreed timelines
