DUTIES_

  • Assist veterinarians in providing care for animals
  • Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
  • Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, such as bloodwork and urinalysis
  • Take and develop xrays
  • Clean and maintain examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment
  • Provide assistance during surgeries and other medical procedures
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
  • To assist with reception duties if required

SKILLS_

  • Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and animal care
  • Proficient in handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately
  • Ability to perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
  • Familiarity with veterinary equipment, including xray machines and surgical instruments
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with veterinarians, pet owners, and other staff members
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping and medication administration

4 days per week, 10 hour shifts pm, one in every 3 saturdays 8.30-1pm
