We're looking for a friendly and confident individual to supervise the beach and harbour at Porthdinllaen over the summer season. Are you an excellent communicator with good practical skills and an understanding of the marine environment? If you love the coast, enjoy working outdoors and chatting to people then this role could be for you.
A typical work week would involve working 10am-4pm 5 days per week (to include weekends and bank holidays).
**Please note that the ability to converse in Welsh and English is essential for this role.**

Mae harbwr Porthdinllaen yn darparu amddiffyniad rhag amodau gwynt a thonnau ac mae'n cysgodi rhag pob gwynt ond gwynt gogledd-ddwyrain. Mae gan ardal yr harbwr fewnol oddeutu 40 angorfa, gyda oddeutu 80 yn yr harbwr allanol. Mae fflyd fechan o longau pysgota yn gweithredu o bentref Porthdinllaen, ac mae'r bae yn cael ei fynychu gan badau amrywiol gan gynnwys cychod hwylio, cychod sy'n cael eu gyrru gan bŵer, badau dŵr personol a padlfyrdd. Mae mynediad ar gyfer cychod a lansiwyd a threlar ar gael ym Morfa Nefyn.
Porthdinllaen is a well-known destination on the Llŷn peninsula and attracts thousands of visitors to relax on the beach, walk the coastal footpaths or take to the water, whilst enjoying the beautiful setting and the famous Tŷ Coch Inn.
It's a place with incredibly rich history and important nature conservation designations such as the Pen Llŷn a'r Sarnau Special Area of Conservation. It's also home to one of the largest seagrass beds in Wales.
Porthdinllaen harbour provides protection from wind and wave conditions and is sheltered from all but a north-easterly wind. The inner harbour area has around 40 moorings, with the outer harbour area having around 80 moorings. A small fleet of fishing vessels operate from Porthdinllaen village, and the bay is frequented by visiting vessels including sailing boats, power driven vessels, personal watercraft and paddle craft. Occasionally larger commercial craft may anchor in deeper water away in the outer area of harbour. Access for trailer launched vessels is available at Morfa Nefyn.

Byddwch hefyd yn sicrhau safonau uchel ar y safle, gan godi sbwriel yn ddyddiol a sicrhau bod y traeth yn glir o beryglon.
Mae diogelwch yn flaenoriaeth a byddwch yn hyrwyddo defnydd diogel a chyfrifol o'r ardal ac yn cynghori'r cyhoedd ar is-ddeddfau a pholisïau arfordirol lleol. Bydd y rôl wedi'i lleoli'n bennaf yn fynediad y traeth ym Morfa Nefyn yn goruchwylio lansio cychod, gan sicrhau bod cychod wedi'u cofrestru, a chasglu ffioedd lansio. Gall y rôl hefyd cwmpasu ardal ehangach y traeth a phentref Porthdinllaen ar adegau prysur, gan gymryd cyfrifoldeb am gadw Caban Griff (ein hystafell dehongli fach) a gweithdy'r harbwr feistr yn daclus.

Byddwch yn cael y wybodaeth ddiweddaraf am y prosiect ac yn gallu hyrwyddo'r gwaith gyda'r cyhoedd gan gynyddu eu dealltwriaeth o'r cynefin pwysig hwn. Rydym yn prydlesu'r angorfeydd harbwr mewnol allan yn flynyddol. Byddwch yn monitro defnydd a chyflwr yr angorfeydd hyn yn rheolaidd drwy'r tymor.
