Job summary

This is a senior, specialist IT project management role who will play a large part in ensuring the success delivery of the new Electronic Bed Management (command centre & patient flow) programme (BMS). Reporting directly to the Programme Director, the post holder, working closely with the other IT disciplines and external providers, will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of the assigned project within agreed timescales and budget.

Main duties of the job

To provide day-to-day project management expertise to the BMS project and their impact across all LGHT sites.

To implement systems from inception thorough to a satisfactory Go live including Acceptance Test Planning and overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT). To ensure that the project meets targets set, in terms of time, quality and budget and manage project team members to performance expectations. To coordinate project work streams and to assess their progress against plans/key milestones.

Masters degree or equivalent experience Educated to degree level in an IT or Health related subject. Project Management qualification - PRINCE2 Practitioner Evidence of continual professional development

Significant experience at senior management level managing complex and large-scale IT projects in a heath care environment. Understanding of ITIL best practice.
