Our client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on 6 month FTC basis initially.

Essential

  • Previous Accounts experience
  • Strong numeracy, technical and IT skills including Excel and ideally experience of practice management systems or other accounting software packages.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a consistently high level of accuracy.
  • An understanding of VAT recovery processes.
  • Highly organised.
  • The knowledge and desire to identify and implement improvements to processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of the firm's supplier invoice and expense claim payments weekly and dealing with other ad hoc payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing in line with our client's policy.
  • Ensuring the correct VAT recovery of transactions posted.
  • Management of the team's shared inbox, using the firm's various IT packages and liaising with stakeholders around the business and within the wider Finance team to resolve queries.
  • Involvement in monthly reporting, such as identification of areas requiring prepayments and accruals at each month end.
