Reed Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school setting.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the learning and development of students, as well as working closelywith teachers to provide additional assistance in the classroom.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide onetoone or small group support for students who require additional assistance in their studies.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons, including setting up equipment, preparing resources, and working with students on individual tasks.
  • Support the teacher in monitoring and managing the behaviour of students in the classroom.
  • Liaise with parents and other staff members to provide regular feedback on student progress and any concerns.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities, such as afterschool clubs and educational trips.

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in a related field.
  • Experience working with young people in a teaching or mentoring capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students from a range of backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of current education practices and an interest in keeping uptodate with new developments.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • An understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to promoting the welfare of young people.
