Responsibilities

Clinical:

As an NHS care assistant with Florence, you'll:
Perform a full range of care assistant duties.

Assess and evaluate residents and care recipients.

Maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Monitor residents frequently when appropriate.

Document incidents in line with NHS and Florence policy.

Escalate concerns to your supervisor and/or Florence where required.

Recognise signs of deterioration in a resident or care recipient.

Alert senior colleagues if you're concerned about a resident or care recipient.

Maintain accurate, timely and legible care records when required.

Communicate effectively with other staff members, the multidisciplinary team, residents and relatives.

Nurture good relationships with other team members.

Communicate respectfully with the team members and managers.

Escalate concerns in a competent, informative way.

Maintain professional standards in line with national guidance.

Education/training:

About you


We're looking for NHS care assistants with
at least six months of care work experience, ideally in a health and social care setting.

If you love to learn and have evidence of ongoing professional development, that's a plus.

  • The ability to take direction and work effectively under supervision.
  • Safe, effective moving and handling skills.
  • An indepth understanding of the health and social care sector.
