Our Purpose is to provide assistance to government entities throughout the sector and region, aiding the Regional Public Service Commissioner (RPSC), alongside the Regional Director and Regional Leadership Groups (RLG), and facilitating collaboration among other social sector agencies while monitoring shifts in the social welfare of New Zealanders.
The Lead Advisor – Regional Public Service will provide high level strategic and operational advice and support to the Regional Public Service Commissioner (RPSC) on strategy implementation and across agency and stakeholder engagement.
Working alongside the Regional Director, this role will support and strengthen public service relationships with key stakeholders from across the region and leverages these relationships to implement strategies and initiatives for benefit of the region.
The mandate for the RPSC and the Regional Leadership Framework are embedded in the Public Service Act 2020, which aims to ensure New Zealand's public service is modern, joined-up and citizen-focussed.
