The FPGA team is part of the global Productivity Engineering group which is responsible for delivering and supporting FPGA platforms at Arm - enabling designs debug and deployment of advanced pre-silicon verification methodologies. These system solutions target a wide range of market segments like mobile, server, IoT, automotive, etc.

Exciting Opportunity:

The role of a FPGA integration engineer involves delivering on the FPGA prototyping requirements of sophisticated systems, collaborating with multiple teams, and achieving verification goals. You will be responsible for developing System Verilog/Verilog FPGA top-levels, integration of I/O & peripherals, creating testbenches, and resolving test failures and issues. Additionally, you will contribute to enhancing the team's methodologies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development and verification of subsystems, peripherals, and IPs for FPGA prototyping.
  • Collaborating with design teams to debug test failures and issues.
  • Automating flows & methodologies for user deployment.
  • Providing support for FPGA service users.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Expertise in hardware verification languages (e.g. System Verilog/Verilog) and scripting languages like Perl/Python/TCL/Shell.
  • Experience with high-speed I/O peripherals such as LPDDR, PCIe, Ethernet, USB, HBM, etc.
  • Understanding of Arm-based systems, SoC system architecture, and AMBA protocols.
  • Proven track record in project debugging and execution.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of advanced verification techniques like assertions, property checking, etc.
  • Experience in low-level programming including C and Assembler.
  • Familiarity with debugging projects using Verdi or Visualizer.
  • Exposure to FPGA flows with AMD Xilinx, covering compilation, debug, performance, and implementation.
