**Shift pattern can include

  • 8am4pm, 4pm10pm, 8am8pm (sleep shift)**

About the role:


We are searching for support staff to encourage individuals to cook, clean, plan and coordinate their lives whilst promoting life skills and independence.

If you enjoy spending time with vulnerable adults and children, then this role could be for you.


As a Support Worker you will be assisting the individuals with a variety of skills and activities including cooking, arts and crafts, walking, going to the cinema, visiting farms and zoos, gardening, bowling and sightseeing.


Complex Support Workers need to be adept to working with individuals with autism and complex needs, understanding the triad of impairments (difficulties with social interaction, social imagination and social communication) and ways in which these areas may impact upon the daily lives of people with autism.


Responsibilities:

  • Following a specific plan of support relating to the needs of the individuals we support.
  • Personal care: assisting with washing, personal hygiene, dressing and grooming.
  • Helping with daily life: medication, finances, shopping, preparing meals and education.
  • Supporting social activities: local support groups, visiting friends and neighbours.
  • Working in a personcentred way and helping individuals achieve their goals.
  • Safeguarding and working in the best interest of the individuals at all times.
