We are looking to employ 2 x Apprentice Fabricators at our Newport Branch.

Due to the Health & Safety restrictions in place for this training course, we can only accept applicants aged 19 and over to meet the training providers legal requirements.

What will the apprentice be doing?
You will be working alongside skilled craftsmen and trained in all aspects of commercial body repair:

This will include:

  • All aspects steel cutting and fabrication
  • Electric grinders and guillotine
  • MIG and arc welding
  • Using a variety of age relevant equipment and tools


We are looking for a highly motivated individual with initiative, self-confidence, with the drive and ability to work under their own direction or within a team of professionals.

They will need to be punctual, reliable and focused on the requirements of the role, alongside college training you will be mentored and trained on the job.

You will attend a recognised training provider for block release training from September

You will achieve:

  • EAL NVQ Certificate in Fabrication and Welding Level
  • EAL NVQ Engineering (Fabrication and Welding) Level 2 ( on successful completion on Level 1 )

Things to consider

Due to the Health & Safety restrictions in place for this training course, we can only accept applicants aged 19 and over to meet the training providers legal requirements.


This is a physically demanding role, where you will be required to be on your feet for long periods of time.

There is a skills shortfall in the welding industry so on achievement of this apprenticeship you will have developed a career for life.

From £5.28 to £10.42 age dependant.
