Yard ForepersonnThe ideal candidate should have a proven track record in managing a warehouse/yard in a fast-paced environment and experience of effectively running a successful function.

The individual will be responsible for the yard/warehouse operation and for providing excellent standards of service, efficiency and performance.

Duties and responsibilities:

nResponsibility for the day to day operations of the yard/warehouse departmentnEfficiently managing a team of yard/warehouse staff, ensuring orders are correct and on time, providing top quality customer servicenResponsibility for all goods in/outnEnsuring company compliance of all warehouse/yard policies, legislations and procedures as well as taking responsibility for health and safety issues of the warehouse/yardnManaging, monitoring and developing a team of warehouse/yard staffnInvolvement in strategic development and improvementsnEnsuring housekeeping is well maintained including excellent external presentation of our branchnMaintain accurate administrative recordsnProviding excellent standards of service, efficiency and performance.


Experience and Skills:

nPrevious foreman/management experience, with a proven track record of managing a fast-paced environmentnExcellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skillsnStrong people management skillsnExperience within the merchant industry would be preferablenKnowledge of the products/industry would be an advantagenFull driving licencenFork lift truck licence.

nComputer Literate
