The Role


The Employee Relations Advisor will support and coach managers on all employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies.

This role involves managing disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence cases, conducting complex investigations, and providing training to managers. The advisor will also assist in ET preparations and support restructuring projects.

Job responsibilities include (but not limited to):


Providing advice and guidance on disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, and long-term sickness cases across the organisation, escalating complex cases when necessary.

Conduct thorough investigations into complex issues and allegations, preparing detailed reports and recommendations.
Attend and support formal hearings, providing guidance and ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
Enhance the skills of managers by providing training on disciplinary and grievance procedures
Keep detailed records of case volumes, and trends, and update on significant or high-risk cases.
Collaborate with Business Partners on restructuring, redundancy, and TUPE processes as needed.

Job Criteria - Essential:
CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar role - HR or ER Advisor
Proven experience conducting investigations
Experience advising on change management

Job Criteria - Desirable:
Health & Social Care Sector or regulated environment experience is highly advantageous
Experience working within a charity
