Contract Length: 12 Months

Location:
Allerdale, Cumbria with travel

37.5hrs per week - possible overtime but hours are given back in lue (Claim millage)
The roles are a mix of home working, office based as well as the requirement to attend community events.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Head of Community Engagement and Community Engagement Manager to deliver RWMs daytoday community engagement approach to Working Groups and Community Partnerships in a local area
  • Play a key role in the delivery of community engagement activities such as public events, meetings and digital updates (e.g. websites, newsletters, Twitter)
  • Provide support to the meet the needs of the members of the Working Groups and/ or Community Partnerships. This could include stakeholders from community, government, business and voluntary sectors as well as those directly contracted to support the groups (e.g. Chair and Secretariat).
  • Liaise with and support key external stakeholders such as government, regulator or supply chain representatives
  • Operate and maintain reporting systems in respect of local community engagement activities
  • Help maintain knowledge of key stakeholders in local communities that can support the siting process as advocates and decision makers
  • Support the management of the deliverables and contracts with the supply chain. e.g. processing purchase orders, receiving monthly reports or coordinating liaison meetings
  • Work with other Community Coordinators to maximise the positive impact of RWM in participating communities.
  • Help ensure that the Community Coordinator role is adequately resourced to meet RWM and community needs and help ensure that the resources are deployed effectively.
