Multi-Trades Recruitment is looking for multiple steel fixers to work with a well established company in Arbroath. DD11 3RD

Start Date ASAP

The job purpose is to:

  • Produce reinforcement cages according to the specific detail drawing and/ or engineer's calculation or description.
  • Tie together steel bars and mesh with nips.
  • Use steel cutters and do some hand bending to create non standard shapes.
  • Work alongside the casting team in setting up cages in the molds for more complex components.
  • Work to tight tolerances and accuracy.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Have previous steel fixing experience.
  • Be willing to learn and adjust to new working standards.
  • Be proactive and not be afraid to lead by example.
  • Be able to use measuring equipment and various hand and power tools.
  • Be able to multiskill, be hardworking and have attention to detail.
  • Be able to work well on their own and within a team.
  • Cooperate with the team and have a positive 'can do' attitude.
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
