My client are on the lookout for a seasoned Mechanical Estimator to spearhead our estimating department, offering a unique opportunity to manage the entire tender process, from initial retrieval to final quotation submission to our clients.

Our projects span a wide range, with mechanical packages valued between £50K and £3M, encompassing air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, insulation, leak detection, controls, commissioning, and validations, primarily focusing on Cat A and Cat B commercial projects.

Our diverse client portfolio covers various sectors, including commercial offices, healthcare, education, leisure, and government buildings.

THE ROLE – MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR

Monday – Friday

8am – 4pm / 9am - 5pm

Your first task will be to set up their Trimble Software.

The role is dynamic and includes, but is not limited to:

  • Reviewing tender documents
  • Issuing RFIs
  • Cost research
  • Obtaining quotes from suppliers and contractors
  • Performing take-offs according to standard estimating practices
  • Utilizing estimating software like Trimble
  • Preparing tenders for internal review
  • Ensuring timely submissions
  • Facilitating project handovers to our operational and project teams.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Proven experience in a similar role with an M&E contractor.
  • The ability to accurately estimate costs and timelines, meeting crucial deadlines.
  • Expertise in estimating software, particularly Trimble MEP.

SALARY & PACKAGE

£60,000 (review after 3 months)

Travel Expenses covered if needed to go to site in London

20 Days & 8 Bank + Birthday Off
