Job Scope:

We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant to join the Hospitality team. This role may include some weekend working.

The Kitchen Assistant will have a key role ensuring the deliverance an excellent service to the customers, creating an inviting and pleasant environment.

This post is for 28 hours per week, working 4 out of 7 days. Your workdays would be Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting from 8:30 am and concluding at 4:00 pm. Additionally, you'll be working 7 hours each on both Saturdays and Sundays.


The Kitchen Assistant will do basic food preparation including vegetables, salads, and sandwiches, as well as serve hot and cold food and beverages.


The duties of the Kitchen Assistant will include maintaining a clean, hygienic, and presentable environment, and operating the till and cashing up when required.

The Kitchen Assistant will prepare and arrange food counters and dining areas, ready for service.

Do you have?

  • Previous experience working within a busy kitchen environment, working both independently and within a team
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to undertake this qualification)
  • Great communication skills, confident speaking to a range of people
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Willing to undertake appropriate training (e.g., Supervision, NVQ Training)
