Description

Reporting into the HR Director you will play a key part in supporting with the design and delivery of the people strategy while also being responsible for the day to day operational HR activities. You will have a full time HR Administrator to support you with administrative and transactional duties which will give you the time and resource to deliver on advisory and business partnering work.

You will be joining an organisation that is bought into HR and the value it can bring to an organisation. The HR Director you report into will provide you with full autonomy and wants someone who can challenge him professionally and bring new ideas to the table.

Key duties will include:

  • Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs
  • Oversee staff budget, including recruitment expenses
  • Create and execute recruitment strategies, such as job postings, sourcing, and candidate evaluation
  • Coordinate with agencies and service providers as necessary
  • Manage the company's careers website
  • Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate suitability
  • Ensure a consistent and smooth onboarding experience for new hires
  • Design and implement talent development programs tailored to specific roles
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages growth and employee engagement
  • Administer regular performance reviews, career development, and succession planning
  • Identify and address individual training needs within budget constraints
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees and managers
  • Monitor compensation across teams to ensure fairness and market relevance
  • Coordinate monthly payroll reporting, including overtime, deductions, bonuses/commissions, new hires, and departures, and liaise with external payroll agencies promptly
  • Address and manage employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts
  • Promote open communication and trust within the organization
  • Monitor employee satisfaction and well-being
  • Handle disciplinary matters in line with company policies
  • Develop, update, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and guidelines, and communicate them to team managers
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Assist the HR Coordinator in maintaining accurate employee records and documentation
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
  • Implement effective HR systems and workflows, improving or replacing existing HR software to reduce manual tasks
  • Take responsibility for all HR-related matters at the management level
  • Support management team members in recruiting, selecting, managing, and developing team members

Profile

A successful HR Manager should have:

  • Proven working experience as HR Manager, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor
  • People-oriented and results-driven
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
