Job Description:

International House London is currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic French teachers to join our growing Foreign Languages team. The role primarily involves teaching adults on our evening face-to-face courses at our school in Covent Garden. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified and passionate individuals to contribute to our vibrant and multicultural learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality French language lessons to adult learners.
  • Create engaging and effective lesson materials and activities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of courses and maintain consistent teaching standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities.

Essential

  • Proficient French speaker
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Initial teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK and be currently based in the UK.

Desirable

  • Possess a DAEFLE diploma, CLTA, CELTA, Trinity TESOL, DELTA,
  • QTS
  • Hold a degree in French Language and Literature or a degree in Modern Languages (English, Spanish, German, etc.).
  • Masters in FLE
  • Experience in teaching in-company and one-to-one courses

Working Hours:

This is a part-time position. Most lessons are the evening from , once a week. We also have some classes in the afternoons, Friday evenings and Sunday mornings.
