We are currently recruiting for a Support Manager to join our passionate and driven team in Ipswich


To help OCS develop and maintain a positive approach to QHSE by coaching , supporting, advising and guiding senior managers and operational teams in relation to QHSE matters.

Influence behaviour and coach others to deliver the QHSE Management System. Deliver a risk based QHSE audit programme and to carry out accident and incident investigations (as directed)

To help up-skill operational management so that their QHSE competence, confidence and abilities are enhanced.
To participate in policy and process review to help achieve simplicity of access, easy understanding and full implementation.
To react to emerging challenges and adapt as necessary.
To support delivery of QHSE strategic objectives and initiatives targeted at continual QHSE improvement.

To support the business to manage effectively QHSE matters and to be capable of taking appropriate and timely corrective action when required.

To carry out accident and incident investigations (as directed) and produce reports with recommendations in conjunction with management to facilitate corrective and preventative action.

To provide competent advice and support to the business to assist adverse event investigation and proactive follow-up of lessons learnt.

To give credibility to the role by actively building effective working relationships with customers and key stakeholders.

To have compliance oversight of the OCS UK&I Estate, working closely with the estates team and technical operations team to ensure compliance with legal and other requirements.

To help manage the COSHH library, working with procurement and service streams to rationalise the approved chemical product listing.

To work collaboratively and constructively with other members of the QHSE Team to ensure a consistent and seamless delivery of QHSE support across OCS.


Act in good faith and promote the long-term success of each company within the UK & Ireland group for the benefit of all members and wider stakeholders.

Adhere to and promote the UK & Ireland group's policies on equality & diversity, information security, health and safety and data protection in the performance of their duties.

Support and promote the UK & Ireland group's sustainability plans and policies, including the Carbon Management Plan, and carry out duties in a resource effective way, recognizing the shared responsibility of minimizing negative environmental impacts wherever possible.

NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
Extensive practical safety management and delivery experience, preferably in a services, manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment. A proven history of working in relevant industry sectors is important combined with specialist knowledge of services e.g. hard services, cleaning, working at height, security, catering, logistics, grounds maintenance, cleansing, aviation and transport, facilities management.
A good knowledge and understanding of civil claims and criminal enforcement.
Combined with the hands-on delivery required in this role is strategic project work. The ability to demonstrate proactive customer relationship management and effective relationship building is essential.
NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals (or equivalent)
