The Position:
This job is for an Availability Modeller, someone who will play a crucial role in the team by leading the modelling work during the Mid Life Refurbishment (MLR) phase. It's an exciting opportunity to contribute to the effective Stockpile management, which is essential for making informed decisions regarding weapon stockpile maintenance and longevity.
Dynamic (hybrid) working:
Wherever possible, there's flexibility for a mix of on-site and remote work. Typically, expect to be on-site 1-2 days a week.
Security Clearance:
British Citizenship or Dual UK Citizenship
Some restrictions related to nationality/rights to work may apply. Successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).
About the Role:
As the Availability Modeller, you'll work closely with various stakeholders, both internal and external. Your responsibilities include:
- Developing relationships with team members and external partners
- Ensuring timely data supply for Stockpile modelling
- Tracking program performance and setting future targets
- Creating and analyzing scenarios using Matlab
- Presenting findings to the team at all levels
- Identifying model enhancements and visualizations
- Contributing experience to other stockpile models
