Merchandising Administration Assistant

Company: Our client, a leading luxury retailer in the fashion industry

Our client, a leading luxury retailer in the fashion industry, is seeking a talented Merchandising Administration Assistant to join their team based in London, Shepherds Bush. As a Merchandising Administration Assistant, you will provide administrative support across all aspects of trading, merchandise planning, and forecasting.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate accurate delivery forecasting for the weeks ahead, collaborating with the wider team to review targets and plan resources.
  • Produce a weekly delivery summary for the department and provide feedback.
  • Prioritize deliveries and workload aligned with department and business strategy.
  • Ensure early stock deliveries for a steady flow of products during the shipping window to maximize the full price selling period.
  • Work closely with Trade and Transport to understand Shipping Terms and Customs requirements, acting as a go-between for compliance.
  • Resolve all warehouse delivery queries within 24 hours.
  • Monitor the weekly returns analysis report and take appropriate action to minimize returns on styles with high return rates.
  • Negotiate late delivery discounts, cancellations, SOR's, and RTV's.
  • Manage stock adjustment, discount, and cancellation records for accurate reports.
  • Update visibility of products on the website by assigning badges to products (Back in Stock, More Coming Soon, etc.).
  • Prepare weekly reports to monitor department performance and communicate key findings to the team.
  • Resolve queries and provide follow-up support as required by other business areas.
  • Provide general administrative support to the department.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional numeric ability.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge is essential.
  • Experience working as part of a diverse team, building relationships with internal and external teams for personal and business development.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills.
