General Foreman

I am looking for a General Foreman with good experience in Drainage and Earthworks to work on a Highways project in Norwich

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring work progresses efficiently and safely.
• Manage a team of workers, subcontractors, and suppliers, delegating tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Liaise with stakeholders and members of the public, maintaining positive relationships and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
• Monitor site progress, reporting to project managers and providing regular updates on milestones and challenges.
• Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project, conducting inspections and addressing any issues promptly.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a General Foreman, preferably in Highways infrastructure or construction projects.
• Experience working on public-facing projects, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of Roads, Earthworks and Drainage works, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate.
• Valid First Aid certification.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues on-site.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
