Overview:
We are looking for a skilled MCR (Master Control Room) Engineer to join our team on a 6-12 month contract. The ideal candidate should have experience with uplinks and downlinks in a fast-paced, ad-hoc environment. Your role will be vital in ensuring smooth broadcast and media services, maintaining our reputation for delivering top-notch content to our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and oversee Broadcast Operations:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Master Control Room.
- Ensure uninterrupted transmission of broadcast signals.
- Manage multiple uplinks and downlinks, ensuring optimal signal quality.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide immediate technical support for any transmission issues.
- Diagnose and resolve problems related to signal quality and broadcast equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on broadcast systems and equipment.
Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth broadcast operations.
- Communicate effectively with content providers, satellite operators, and stakeholders.
- Respond quickly to ad-hoc broadcast requirements and changes.
Compliance and Quality Control:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct quality control checks to uphold broadcast quality.
- Maintain detailed records of broadcast activities, incidents, and resolutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience in a Master Control Room environment.
- Knowledge of uplink and downlink technologies and operations.
- Proficiency with broadcast equipment, signal monitoring, and transmission systems.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Professional Experience:
- Proven track record in a broadcast and media service provider.
- Experience with ad-hoc broadcast operations and live events.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in broadcast technology.
- Educational Requirements:
- Degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications in broadcast technology and operations are a plus.
