Company Details:

We are an ever-growing team of behaviour analysts, including BCBAs, RBTs and trainee RBTs.

We have extensive experience working in special educational needs, specialising in teaching children and young adults with diagnoses of autism, related communication impairments and challenging behaviours.

We are passionate about using the science of Applied Behaviour Analysis, with an emphasis on Positive Behaviour Support and person-centred strategies, to create meaningful impacts in the lives of all those that we work with.

The Tutor Role:

In the role of tutor you will be providing support by implementing ABA strategies with an emphasis on Verbal Behaviour (VB) if working with our early intervention learners and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches for those older learners with a long learning history of engaging in behaviours that challenge.

You will be directly implementing programmes on a 1:1 basis with our learners; this work can take place between their family home, our base in Chelmsford and on some occasions within their school as additional support.

These programmes are informed and written based on developmental, functional and behavioural assessments conducted by one of our BCBAs and will be highly overseen on a weekly/fortnightly basis.

This oversight is when there is the additional option of receiving supervision if you are hoping to work towards a behaviour analytic credential.

All of our BCBA consultants are trained to provide supervision in accordance with the BACB regulations and have also received training on the change in standards for when the UK-SBA accreditation takes effect.

It is your responsibility in this role to ensure programmes are delivered to a high and professional standard, so that our learners can make the meaningful progress they all deserve and are capable of making.

The BCBA overseeing the programme(s) will work closely with you to provide support and training wherever needed.

Duties:

  • To develop and maintain a positive and motivating relationship with your learner(s).
  • To implement strategies as outlined by the overseeing BCBA.
  • To create resources for engaging and teaching your learner(s).
  • To collect and graph accurate data on targets & challenging behaviour.
  • To work collaboratively with the ABA Pathways team to ensure quality support.
  • To safeguard the welfare of any learner(s) in your care & report any concerns.

Person Specification:

Essential

  • Reliable & committed to improving outcomes for children & young adults with SEN.
  • Motivated to develop skillset.
  • Experience working with children.

Desirable

  • Experience working within the field of ABA
  • Driving licence
