Here at Romans Recruitment Group, we are retained by a well-established Civil Engineering firm, currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with Groundworks expertise to join their team at the Essex Head Office.
You will be a part of the Commercial Team, collaborating with the Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager.
Our client specializes in Groundworks and Civil Engineering, operating in Residential, Commercial, and Infrastructure projects across Essex and Suffolk. They prioritize client satisfaction, deliver high-standard projects, and prioritize a positive working environment for their employees.
Role and Responsibilities:

- Reporting to the Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager
- Understanding client requirements
- Ensuring project targets are met in terms of cost, quality, and time
- Adhering to Health and Safety regulations
- Assisting in project cost management, budgeting, and cash flows
- Accurate measurement for valuations
- Progress analysis and reporting
- Identification of opportunities and risks
- Participation in post-tender and pre-contract meetings
- Collaborating with the Commercial team on project tasks
