Primary School Teacher at a Special Needs School

Salary: £140-£210 per day (paid to scale) | Location: Wandsworth SW18

Do you have experience as a qualified primary school teacher?

LTF Recruitment is partnering with multiple Special Educational Needs schools in Wandsworth for teachers starting in September 2024.

We are currently collaborating with a Special Needs School, aiming to hire individuals who are dedicated and passionate about working with children with SEN in a primary school setting. The available roles involve teaching across all Key Stages, offering full-time positions at a single school, with potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting engaging lessons for Children in Key Stages 1&2.
  • Assessing and monitoring the learning needs of assigned pupils.
  • Adapting lesson plans to suit the class's diverse needs.
  • Working with SEN children and managing challenging behavior.
  • Leading meetings with parents or carers.

Key skills and experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status required.
  • Previous experience working with SEN students.
  • Experience with Key Stages 1 and 2.
  • Strong classroom behavior management skills.
  • Ability to cater to the needs of SEN students.
  • Engaging teaching style coupled with an empathetic approach.
