You'll have client contact from the very start, working on that's why your ability to build great business relationships is just as important as your ability with numbers.


What will I do?
As a R&D Tax Associates, you'll experience the power of collaboration as you work with diverse teams on real projects, building lasting connections with colleagues and start off by learning the fundamentals, including carrying out:

  • Participating in the Team's internal technical training programme with the objective of having a strong understanding of R&D Tax legislation and its interpretation on completion.
  • Conducting preliminary research in preparation for client workshops and attending these sessions to support technical interviews and financial data gathering.
  • Assessing and interpreting technical information gathered during workshops to draft the technical reports to support the R&D activity.
  • Gaining sector knowledge by proactively working with a wide variety of clients this will allow you to gain an understanding of a wide variety of innovative technologies across the fields of science and technology.
  • Studying towards Professional Qualification (ATT Level 5 & CTA level 7 or ACA & CTA both Level 7),

Progression In Your First Year Will Look Like:

  • Completing the technical training to have the ability to draft informative and accurate technical reports with the support of your team.
  • Becoming comfortable preparing clientrelated research documents and identifying R&D and the technology used in R&D ahead of workshops and discussions.
  • Participating in the development of team and firms processes and taking on financial aspects of the role to progress your overall knowledge of the claim process.

  • Strong numerical ability and great attention to detail
  • A genuine interest and curiosity in Software, Science, Technology & Innovation.
