We have a brilliant opportunity for you to join the leadership team here at Hafren Dyfrdwy, as our new
Water Networks Business Lead.


In this role, you'll be responsible for leading a large team of Network Operatives across Wrexham and Powys, ensuring our water network performs every day, delivering the highest standards and exceeding commitments to our customers.

You will also have the opportunity to work as part of the senior operational leadership to shape and guide end to end water system operation.


You will be the overall custodian of the water network asset within Hafren Dyfrdwy, you'll be leading teams and contract partners in the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of our water network assets to defined standards.

An integral part of your role is to proactively drive down, reduce or remove risk of service failure (quantity or quality), and improve the operability of our water network which in turn ensures our customers have water that is good to drink and always there.


Alongside routine network operation (Leakage, Repair & Maintenance, Reinstatement), you'll be responsible for the delivery of improvement work across our network with direct accountability for the delivery of key company performance measures and Co Outcome delivery incentives, including Government initiatives such as Lead Free Wales.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We are looking for a strong motivational leader with operational experience.


Whilst leading your team, it's also imperative to your success that you're able to work collaboratively with the wider leadership population within Hafren Dyfrdwy, to provide aligned business strategy, direction, and a more rounded oversight of the overall operation.


In doing this you will need to actively engage with our local communities, providing exemplar customer service and actively seek out opportunity to drive down the unit cost of repair and maintenance which will actively demonstrate best overall value for our customers.


You'll need to possess strong external relationships and presence with our regulators, as well as members of the local communities, landowners, and highways.

Our water network operates 24/7, 365 and you will form part of a standby rota.

It's critical that you have flexibility to meet the demands of a busy operational business and have a full driving license to travel between sites.
