This is enabled by provision of the highest standard of compassionate and evidencebased specialist palliative and end of life care for adults in Calderdale who have active, progressive life limiting illness._

JOB SUMMARY
As the Individual Giving Fundraising Lead, you will play a key role in the Income Generation
Team, taking the lead on all individual giving fundraising, including legacy gifts, as well as the Hospice's lottery.

You will be passionate about the provision of high-quality care and committed to the Hospice values with an ability to inspire, motivate and empower those around you.


Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, Communications and Marketing, you will plan and develop ambitious but achievable income generation plans to maximise income from individual giving, in memory donations and the Overgate lottery.


You will be responsible for the delivery parts of the fundraising strategy relating to all individual giving, working collaboratively with the wider income generation team, ensuring all activities are properly evaluated, using this to inform future plans.

You will directly line manage a team of fundraising staff which includes the In Memory
Fundraiser, Lottery Fundraiser and Legacy Fundraiser.

You will be responsible for ambitious income targets, managing the Individual Giving team's performance against agreed KPIs.


You will also be responsible for the organisation of a number of key Hospice in memory events, with support from the Community and Events Fundraising team.


You will work closely with the other Fundraising Leads to ensure an effective and cohesive income generation team, utilising each other's skills to ensure the very best supporter care and that all opportunities for income generation are maximised.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
At least 3 years' experience in a fundraising role.
Must be educated to A-Level or equivalent experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST


Work with the Head of Fundraising, Communications and Marketing to develop the annual fundraising budget, relating to all individual giving fundraising.


Effectively monitor these budgets throughout the year to ensure all opportunities for income generation are maximised and any concerns raised in a timely manner.

Lead and line manage the In Memory, Lottery and Legacy fundraisers, ensuring regular one to ones and appraisals.


Lead on all direct mail appeals, creating engaging and passionate content to inspire our community to support all appeals, ensuring all campaigns are planned thorough, promoted effectively, and evaluated appropriately.

Lead on regular giving, promoting regular gifts and the impact of these incredible gifts.

Develop a plan to recognise our current regular givers, ensuring their donations are thanked and their contribution is acknowledged at key milestones.

Evaluate the performance of the Individual Giving team, including KPIs and monitoring of key objectives.

Lead and improve supporter journeys for all income streams within your remit, ensuring all
Hospice supporters receive the best experience.

Ensure volunteers are appropriately recruited, engaged, managed, and supported to enable them to be successful in their roles.

Be an active and supportive member of the wider Income Generation team.

Deputise, as appropriate, for the Head of Fundraising, Communications and Marketing.


Ensure effective collaboration with the Capital Appeal team by sharing and sourcing contacts and experience to help to secure both core and capital income.

Ensure you keep up to date of Charity Law and fundraising developments across the sector by networking with other organisations, undertaking training, and abiding by the Charities
Act and Fundraising Regulator codes of conduct.


Actively support and encourage other members of the Fundraising Team, sharing skills and knowledge to enhance all income generation activities.


Attend selected Hospice fundraising events, working as an active member of the team to deliver an exceptional experience for supporters.

Maintain our fundraising database to record accurate donor contact and preference information, and donations received.


Manage all data relating to individual giving, and work with colleagues to ensure that all data is correctly recorded and complies with GDPR regulations.

Plan and manage time and costs effectively whilst producing and maintaining records of income and expenditure for fundraising activities.

Work with all Hospice teams to raise awareness of Overgate Hospic
