The Role:


As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our educational programs and daily activities.

You will work closely with our qualified teachers to create a vibrant, educational, and caring environment for our children. This role requires a highly motivated individual who is committed to the development and well-being of young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and implementing a range of educational activities that promote child development.
  • Provide a safe and stimulating environment that fosters learning.
  • Support children's personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Engage with children in activities that encourage language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
  • Assist with meal times and personal care routines.
  • Observe and record children's progress and participate in parent meetings.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
  • Be an active, handson member of the team, able to get up and down off the floor to engage with children at their level.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to engage in physical activities with children, including getting up and down off the floor.
  • Must undergo a DBS check if offered the position.
