Intensive Care Registrar

Applications are invited for 4 Intensive Care Registrars at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This post is for six months to one year, depending on the needs of the applicant. The applicant must be airway trained and there will be regular opportunity for theatre lists and delivery of teaching.


Under the supervision of the Intensive Care Consultants, you will assist in the assessment, admission, day-to-day management, investigation, practical procedures and final discharge of patients.

The ITU registrars will be expected to work at the level of a Specialty Registrar, with increased responsibility for assessment and management of unwell patients in the ITU and hospital, and for the supervision of more junior trainees.

They will be supported in this by the consultant body.


The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services.

The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
