Full Stack Laravel Developer

We are collaborating with a renowned, top-notch streaming company working with major players in the media sector seeking a talented Full Stack Laravel Developer.

Their innovatively designed AWS-hosted platform oversees intricate streaming processes, optimised for managing, distributing, monetising, and analyzing live and on-demand videos. As part of the team, you will primarily focus on backend API development using Laravel while improving their browser-based CMS frontend with the TALL stack.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create solutions that utilize object-oriented and programming best practices
  • Contribute across all phases of the video platform life cycle
  • Optimize code to enhance maintainability by reducing complexity
  • Develop a strong set of services and APIs powering their video platform, white label, and third-party interfaces

About you:

  • Demonstrable commercial experience with Laravel, TailwindCSS, and Livewire
  • Familiarity with Laravel Eloquent Models
  • Proficiency in working with extensive MySQL databases
  • Hands-on experience with integrating third-party APIs (e.g., payment providers, AWS) and crafting RESTful APIs

Highly desirable qualifications:

  • Proficiency in the TALL stack (Tailwind, Laravel, and Livewire)
  • Knowledge of Laravel Queues, Jobs, Horizon, Supervisor, Laravel Pint, Larastan, RectorPHP, Laravel Shift
  • Expertise in containerized application development
  • Background in Test-Driven Development (TDD) with PHPUnit, PestPHP, or Laravel Dusk
  • Familiarity with AWS services
  • Prior experience in the media industry or video streaming

Work arrangement: 2 days in the Central London office weekly. Please note that during the onboarding phase, candidates will need to be present in the office for 3-4 days per week.
