Teaching Personnel is currently seeking to recruit a dedicated, passionate, and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join our team for the upcoming academic year starting in September 2024.

This is an excellent opportunity for students who have just left sixth form, college and want a break before university, or for university students considering a gap year.

You will gain valuable experience in education, acquiring numerous transferable skills for all aspects of your life and career. Teaching Personnel offers excellent pay rates and flexible shifts, so whether you're looking for full-time or part-time work, we have roles to suit you

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a classroom, care, or sporting setting. However, candidates from backgrounds in sport, drama, and music have also been successful. We welcome aspiring teachers planning to complete a PGCE in the future. Strong language, grammar, and communication skills are essential, as well as an understanding of children's behaviour. You will be teaching language and mathematics to small groups of children.

While the ability to drive is beneficial, it is not required as long as you have access to transport to reach our schools across Cardiff.


Main Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist the teacher in creating resources for teaching and tasks.
Ensure the physical, emotional, and social welfare of students is upheld.
Manage and control challenging behaviour and implement intervention strategies.
Prevent disruptions during class and playtime.
Deescalate heated situations between students
