About the role
As the Search & Browse manager for Online you will be at the heart of strategically improving the customer journey for the fast-growing online channel and leading a team responsible for the day to day running, maintenance and improvements of taxonomy.
You will use multiple data sources to optimise search and navigation, working with existing optimisation tools and product technology teams to improve the algorithms.
You will strategically plan and put in place procedures and process to align core online businesses and create an optimal customer journey overall.
With search and browse contributing a large percentage of weekly basket additions, you will work closely with commercial and trading teams to focus on conversion and revenue improvements. Working in an agile working environment (full training given).

You will be responsible for
Leading the evolution and improvements to the Tesco grocery home shopping taxonomy. Collaborating with multiple departments within the online space to build out a taxonomy that aligns with various key objectives. Managing a well-established team of specialists, encouraging them to drive customer improvement and fresh thinking. Building close and effective relationships with key teams including trade and commercial range squads. Spotting and implementing process and technological improvements within the work stream, including the writing, and presenting of business cases. Building and using analytical dashboards to help make informed decisions. Owning and adapting taxonomy processes and procedures as the business grows and diversifies.You will need
