We are a new preschool in Ashton-on-Ribble looking for someone who is wanting to develop a career in childcare.

We are a small and friendly team, with a goal of providing a home from home environment for the children.

Our vision is to ensure all children have access to outstanding care and education, delivered in a warm but challenging environment.

We want to develop strong relationships with parents as partners, and welcome feedback from both parents and staff.

This will allow us to continuously improve as a setting and to do our best to meet every child's individual needs.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the preschool team, supporting colleagues and being responsible for key children
  • Assist in the daily running of the preschool and delivery of the educational activities
  • To contribute towards providing a warm, friendly and stimulating environment, offering good quality play, care and education both indoors and outdoors
  • Ensure high standards of safety, welfare and education to children
  • To ensure compliance with Safeguarding Policies and Health & Safety
  • Support, advise, and facilitate excellent partnerships with all parents/carers
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times

Experience & Qualifications
Essential

  • Early Years level 3 qualification or above
  • A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Experience of working in an early years setting
  • Knowledge of the EYFS
  • Current up to date DBS certificate
Desirable

  • A current Paediatric First Aid qualification
  • Level 2 Introduction to Child Protection qualification

Hours

  • Term time
  • 8:00 17:00

Negotiable depending on experience
