The Role:

The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) is in search of a meticulously organized and driven Events and Marketing Executive to join the Engineering Knowledge team. As part of this role, you will oversee the operational and promotional aspects of a varied array of partner events, such as lectures, seminars, conferences, dinners, and AGMs. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring seamless event execution and efficient promotion across diverse channels. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This is a job share role
  • Manage the logistics and promotion of 40+ partner events annually, ensuring high-quality delivery within budget.
  • Collaborate with knowledge partners to comprehend their requirements and promote their events effectively.
  • Secure suitable venues, negotiate supplier contracts, and oversee all event-related finances.
  • Create and oversee online registrations to enhance user experience for attendees.
  • Develop marketing collateral for events, encompassing emails, website content, and social media posts.
  • Address delegate inquiries and uphold superior customer service standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to new team members and stand in for the Knowledge Operations Manager when necessary.

  • Extensive experience in event administration with a proven track record of timely and budget-compliant event delivery.
  • A keen eye for detail and adeptness in managing multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Proficiency in event management platforms and marketing tools (e.g., Dotdigital, Umbraco).
Experience:
  • Considerable experience in communication, administration, and committee procedures.
  • Desirable background in project management.
  • Prior involvement with similar professional bodies, voluntary organizations, or membership entities is advantageous.
