The school has great facilities and calming spaces for young people to relax and unwind in. The school curriculum is well matched to pupils' needs and the children have a range of special educational needs and emotional trauma.The role: We are looking for a nurturing Learning Support Assistant to join their already established team supporting young people with additional needs. Due to the nature of the role the school is ideally looking for a Learning Support Assistant OR individuals that have relevant experience working with pupils in a School, Youth Centre, Residential care setting or similar role. Each day will be different from the last therefore being adaptable is very important.Key responsibilities for a Learning Support Assistant :

  • Building nurturing and meaningful relationships with pupils with SEND
  • Experience and a good understanding of behaviour management and how to implement this into your practice
  • Understand the different requirements of individual SEN and adapt accordingly
Requirements for a Learning Support Assistant:
  • Experience working with young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents effectively.
