A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT CREATOR AT DOUBLETREE BY HILTON EDINBURGH CITY

  • What you'll be doing..._
Reporting to the Director of Sales, you can expect your working day to include the following:

  • You will be responsible for leading the social strategy and telling the story of DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City.
  • Photography and videography that captures the brand, with an emphasis on our food and beverage outlets SKYbar Monboddo. You will be on the lookout for the newest, most advanced ways of presenting content including outside of the industry for best practice and new innovations.
  • Management and accurate, searchable inventory of all content including commissioning and managing other photographers and videographers as necessary.
  • Managing all channels and taking a lead on all organic and paid social with the
goal of increasing both engagement and follower numbers.

  • Understanding our brand strategy and positioning and how
best to tell this story through social.

  • Manage paid media campaigns that deliver ROI for Rooms, Restaurants and Bars, Weddings.
  • Create innovate packages and campaign ideas to drive revenue across Rooms, Restaurant and Bars, Weddings and Meetings and Events.
  • Work with the partner PR agencies to ensure plans are aligned with the hotels and executed.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To succeed in the role of Social Media Content Creator, you will need the following qualities and skills.

  • 1+ years' marketing experience ideally within hospitality, travel, or marketing/PR agencies.
  • Social media marketing experience is required.
  • Digital marketing experience (PPC, display ads, google analytics etc.) is preferred.
  • Creative copy writing skills with exception attention to detail.
  • WordPress, Umbraco (or similar CMS) experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Eager to follow and introduce new trends and tools.
  • Passionate about Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Travel.
  • Effective decisionmaking skills.
Ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation
