PC Nursing are currently seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join an established team in Northampton providing high-quality care to patients in various healthcare settings with EXCELLENT
rates of £10 - £16 per hour available.
This role provides stability - offering a fixed term contract for at least 12 weeks with a view to extend.
HOURS:
20 hours per week (Mornings Only)
Job Summary:
To provide and maintain a high standard of care for patients as well as providing assistance to other members of the primary healthcare team.
Job Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Assist in the implementation of care plans under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
- Utilise SystmOne to update patient records and document care provided.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide personal care and support to individuals in their homes or care homes.
- Simple dressings under the indirect supervision of the practice nurse.
- Perform venepuncture.
- Suture removal.
- Take ECGs
- Ensure infection control guidelines are maintained.
- Monitor and manage stock and equipment.
- Carry out ambulatory blood pressure checks / medicals/ new registration checks/ drug and alcohol screening as per practice protocols.
- Drive to different locations to deliver care services as required.
DESIRABLE
- Administer influenza vaccinations under the instruction of a patient specific direction
- Administer Covid19 vaccinations under the instruction of a patient specific direction
- Proficiency in ear care, including ear irrigation.
- Administer B12 injections
- Carry out complex dressings, including compression, in support of leg ulcer wound care, under supervision of practice nurse.
