Who we're looking for


Although you may have never heard of Schroders before visiting our website, this apprenticeship could be for you because key to the purpose of the programme is to teach you about what, why and how we do what we do.

On this programme, you'll be part of the Fixed Income Product team within the Investment part of our business.

You'll receive ongoing training designed to develop you throughout the two years, where you will have the chance to improve your skills as well as your technical knowledge.

You will join as an apprentice as part of the Investment20/20 programme, you will have opportunities to meet and network with trainees across the industry and participate in training, socials and insight events.

The base

We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. We offer flexible working appropriate for a client solutions focussed role.

The team

The role sits in the Sustainability team which has expanded to 59 people, covering a wide range of activities from thematic research, sustainability modelling, portfolio monitoring, screening, corporate governance actions, company engagement, client communication and marketing and discussions with policy makers and other stakeholders.

Our primary focus is working with analyst and fund manager colleagues to strengthen investment decisions through effective analysis and integration of sustainability issues in investment processes.


What you'll do:
Some of the tasks and projects you'll be involved in are:

  • Supporting the team in answering sustainable investment-related client queries
  • Supporting and helping to coordinate sustainable investment reporting
  • Supporting internal clientfacing teams to encourage fluency around sustainable investment through updating intranet sites, monthly calls, training, adhoc requests etc.
  • Maintaining our standard content database
  • Updating our central clientfacing presentation material
  • Supporting team with client meetings
