Are you passionate about delivering exceptional culinary experiences while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and kitchen management? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Kitchen Supervisor.

We are a small business with a very busy summer season ahead. Finding the right fit for our business is paramount.

We are open 7 days a week and are looking for a proactive and assertive approach from an individual with drive, determination and excellent organisation skills, to ensure our service operation continues to improve to the highest of standards.

This is a freelance position with flexibility for pt/ft for the right person.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Ensure FOH is managed to the highest level.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, with a strong understanding of Environmental Health Officer (EHO) standards.
  • Manage inventory and ordering to maintain adequate stock levels while minimising waste and controlling costs.
  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff, providing guidance, support and training as needed.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for all kitchen activities.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and coordinate maintenance and repairs as necessary.
  • Collaborate with management to develop menus and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
  • Implement and enforce sanitation standards to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Manage the FOH and kitchen team, including monthly rota and staff budgets.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Kitchen Management or similar role.
  • Food hygiene certified (level 3)
  • Strong understanding of Environmental Health (EHO) standards and regulations. Including allergen.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and ordering processes.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to working weekdays/weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Culinary/cooking experience or background preferred.
