Background:

CIV endeavours to provide strategic support with an objective of accelerating growth and impact potential of its partner companies, leveraging their own entrepreneurial and social impact expertise.
We are looking for a self-starter and a passionate individual who will closely support us in our mission. As Senior Investment Analyst, you will be an integral part of our investment team and support in analysing key sector trends, sourcing, due diligence of investment opportunities, building investment cases and tracking of portfolio companies.
Job description:
- Evaluate business ideas and build the foundation of our selection decisions by conducting market research, deep diving into new industry sectors and presenting research analysis
- Scouting to propose new investment targets, participating in industry events and trade fairs
- Conduct financial analysis and technical research at all stages of the deal flow including business models, financial models, metrics analysis, and competition analysis
- Conducting due diligence on the target companies including reviewing business model, financing documents, structures, agreements, contracts etc.
- Preparation of Investment notes and Board Presentations
- Support in all fields of portfolio management, such as business and financial plan validation, tracking of key metrics and reporting
- Maintain strong relationships with portfolio teams and assist in scaling the portfolio companies within the ecosystem
- Conducting marketing activities for the fund, to manage social media presence and content development
What you need to succeed?
We are looking for applicants with diverse backgrounds who are eager to learn and grow. What matters to us the most is your motivation and passion for investments and finance. Requirements for the role are as follows:
- University degree with a record of high academic achievement, Master's degree desired
- 2 years of work experience with atleast 1 year of relevant work experience either as an Investment Analyst or as an M&A Analyst
- Good understanding of deal cycle
- Excellent financial modelling and writing skills
- Outstanding analytical skills with attention to detail, ability to research quantitative and qualitative topics
- Entrepreneurially minded and a strong team player with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in parallel
- Ability to work in a lean team structure
- Ability to effectively communicate (both verbal and written) with diverse target groups, including ventures, investors, advisors, etc.
- A strong interest in sustainability, technology, new trends and innovation is desired
- MS Office (Expert knowledge) - Word, Excel, Power Point
