We are looking to recruit a
Care Supervisor to join our team.

The Contract:

- £15.22 per hour

  • 37 hours rota basis including weekend shifts
  • On call commitment with remuneration
  • PVG paid

Essential Experience / Criteria

The Care Supervisor will have:

  • Previous management/supervisory experience
  • Minimum of SVQ Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, with plan to work towards Level 4 qualification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, relatives, and all grades of staff.
  • Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia, showing compassion, and wholly adopting a personcentred approach to care.
  • Experience and confidence leading a care team, acting as champion for the wellbeing of residents.
  • Experience in preparing, reviewing, and understanding care plans.
  • Registration with SSSC.
  • Have a legal right to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Part of the Leadership Team to ensure that all staff are supervised, and shifts run in a smooth and efficient manner, safeguarding the residents at all times.
  • Deputising in the absence of the Manager and Assistant Manager
  • To provide emergency ad hoc cover as and when required to ensure safe staffing levels at all times.
  • Be aware of the need to manage and maintain budgets agreed by the Manager and the Trustees e.g. correct numbers of staff on duty.
  • Manage staff rotas.
  • Manage, develop, and support staff, individually and as a team, including induction, probation, supervisory support and training.
  • Supervising and monitoring Care Staff to ensure all standards of care and support are person centred and appropriate to the persons assessed needs.
  • Develop, review and update care plans of all residents within the Home.
  • Administering medication in line with the Home's policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all IPC measures are adhered to maintain a safe environment for all residents and staff.

Pay:
£15.22 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week

- providing care: 1 year (preferred)
