While there's some flexibility in working arrangements, as these roles involve sensitive information, the expectation is that you'll primarily work on-site at AWE Aldermaston.

A relocation package may be considered.


As part of the High Performance Computing (HPC) Group, you'll handle system administration for AWE's powerful supercomputers, crucial for our scientific and engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the planning, installation, and commissioning of new HPC systems
  • Configuration management of HPC platform hardware and software
  • Monitor the performance and reliability of HPC systems
  • Participate in overseas travel for conferences and meetings
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems
  • Strong scripting skills, particularly in Python and Bash
  • Understanding of computer security concepts
  • Experience in first- and second-line user support
