Location
The position is based at York Minster, in the heart of York.

There is no parking on site but plenty of commutable routes for those that live within York and the surrounding villages.


Shift Times


The shift times are 08:30 to 10:30, 2 hours, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 07:30 to 11:30, 4 hours on Saturday.

There is slight flexibility with the times.

This gives 12 hours per week.

There are opportunities for overtime.

The Role
You will be working within in a team. This is a cleaning role within the York Minster.

Responsibilities include cleaning of the towers (the tallest is 275 steps, so not for the faint hearted), cleaning the Undercroft museum, replenishment and cleaning of the public toilets and other jobs that the supervisor asks.


Please be aware that this role involves climbing steep staircases as mentioned above, this in mind the applicant would need to be reasonably fit and unafraid of heights.


Pay details
Your pay will never be wrong with Britsafe. You can check your pay and holidays, virtually live, on-line.

Any discrepancies can be reviewed before payday, so you can be assured your pay is 100% correct, 100% of the time.

This job pays £10.90 per hour, which gives a minimum of £130.80 per week.

Britsafe are an Employee-Owned Company. This means that after 12 month's service, provided company targets are met then employees are entitled to tax-free, profit related bonus payments (These bonuses are excluded from Benefits calculation so will not affect any employees who receive Benefits)
